About us

As a second-generation immigrant, I grew up in two countries. My family loved to travel and aside from discovering new places, their heart-felt obligation was for me to know and connect with my roots. Knowing where my family comes from has allowed me to appreciate where I am, and where I am going. 

 

I spent nearly every summer in Costa Rica. While some kids went to summer camps, I played in the rainforest. The hikes through Manuel Antonio’s rain forest culminating in a day of play at a virgin beach, boat rides to Isla Tortuga, day shopping at El Mercado Central is just a sliver of my beautiful country.  It was these truly unique experiences that allowed me to see the world through a different set of eyes.

 

Part of growing up Costa Rican is coffee. In our culture, everyone drinks coffee, kids included. My youngest memories are sitting in my grandmother’s tiny kitchen. At that table, I held my aluminum cup filled with coffee. Visiting our family friend who lives in Santana at a magical home that can only be accessed via a dirt road up the mountain and where the open wilderness is his backyard. Our dear friend’s first words to me were Stephany, I have your coffee ‘choreando’ in the kitchen. Since then while traveling I have discovered that brands and roasts sold in these countries are only accessible to locals with few products being exported. Every trip involved bringing a few bags home with me until I ran out, then beginning the mission of scouring the Internet to be able to find more. 

 

As a mom I have learned when there is a will, there is a way. I decided to invest in my love for coffee and these beloved memories and experiences that fill my heart and home. I hope to share them with you and may you enjoy a little treasure from my beloved Costa Rica, and all the countries we have traveled. We are International Coffee Distributors, bringing authentic products to the people.
